Saint Augustine Events and Festivals
There’s always something going on in St. Augustine. Weekly outdoor concerts, farmers’ markets and arts and craft festivals ensure you’ll always have something fun to do on vacation in St. Augustine, while larger annual events such as The Players Championship draw audiences from all over the nation and the world.
Every spring, Florida’s Birding & Photo Fest comes to town, attracting a large number of birding enthusiasts who are here to see (and photograph) the diverse array of migrating birds passing through the area. The Players Championship, on of the world’s premier golf tournaments also takes place in May of every year. Expect crowds, but also some of the best players in the sport to be in town.
Summer is always a celebration in St. Augustine, with most events centered around the 4th of July. Fireworks Over The Matanzas is the premier event, an epic fireworks display over the water that offers amazing views and a fun night for all.
As the temperatures cool off in the fall, a fresh wave of concerts and events in St. Augustine come through. Blue Fest is held each October, offering live music from a range of Blues acts. The season rounds out with the annual Octoberfest celebration at Francis Field in downtown St. Augustine.
The winter holidays are a special time anywhere, but especially in St. Augustine. Temperatures remain relatively warm during the day, but can still dip into the 40s or even 30s overnight. That doesn’t stop locals and visitors alike from coming out to see the thousands of white lights that adorn almost every surface in downtown St. Augustine. The festival kicks off with the Night of Lights in November, and the show-stopping display stays alit until January.
